Berliner Currywurst

The big B was pretty awesome. With lots of history and development it was fascinating, but it's culinary products made it 100x better. Germany is the heart of the processed pork revolution, and I got to try one of the capital's yummiest dishes.

On my first day in the city, I walked onto the Pariser Platz in front of the Brandenburger Tor, and I began to get quite hungry. I went through the Brandenburger and found myself on the edge of a very large park. Situated on the edge of the park was a fun-looking Wurst stand.

My German language skills are similar to those of a well-trained turtle, so to simplify the problem I picked the first item on the menu... The Berliner Currywurst.
It was served on a paper plate and consisted of sausage sprinkeled with curry powder & served with a white bun... the sausage had been topped with warm ketchup.

Now I happen to think that ketchup is the second worst thing to happen to french fries. Of course the first worst has to be the attempted rebranding to 'freedom fries' in the early 2000's. Even just thinking about that incident makes me angry.

Anyway, the dish was so tasty even thought it included the second worst french fry invention ever. Well done Berlin, well done.
